Mayo on the Outside…of Toast
2.2 billion grilled cheese sandwiches are made each year. The recipe is simple: Bread, cheese, butter. But here’s the thing…mayo on the outside, not butter, makes for a crispier, tastier grilled cheese. Science has proven this. Now it was our turn. So, we headed to the one place that made the most sense: Toast, North Carolina. And with the help of a very famous racecar driver, we prohibited mayo inside Toast to prove that it belongs on the outside of toast. Over the top? Sure. But that’s where mayo belongs.
